We cannot provide the status of a licensure application by phone. After you have submitted all your documentation, please allow 6 weeks before submitting a Contact Us Form to request a status update. Contacting us earlier may extend processing times for applications. During busy times, this time frame may increase. We thank you for your patience and cooperation.

To Update Personal Information with the Office of the Professions

You can find more on how to update personal information with the Office of the Professions here. Such updates include changes to your: address, name, email address, citizenship/immigration status, social security number, and requesting a photo ID as well as notifying the Office of the Professions about a deceased applicant.

Please always include your profession and license number, if you have one, in emails along with date of birth and last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.

Obtain a Receipt for My Transaction:

Your cancelled check/money order or credit card statement is your receipt for any transaction with the Office of the Professions. When renewing your registration online, you may obtain proof of the online renewal submission (receipt) by logging-in to the online renewal system with the PIN provided for your renewal and print your "Transaction Summary" page. If you no longer have your PIN, you can use our online PIN retrieve system. The Office of the Professions does not provide separate receipts.

Continuing Education:

For questions on requirements, approved providers and how to become an approved provider use the "Professions" page to navigate to your profession. There is a Continuing Education link on the sidebar of your profession’s page to guide you to additional information.

Professional Assistance Program

The Professional Assistance Program (PAP) assists professionals who have substance abuse problems, but who have not harmed patients or clients. Such professionals may voluntarily surrender their licenses while receiving treatment rather than face charges of professional misconduct. All applications to the program are confidential.
